The coating from traditional thermal spraying is of pull stress, thus easy to crack resulting from the metal cooling shrinkage and the max coating thickness is about 0.3mm. The high melting particles in AMTmetalTech patent NanoX Gas Atomized Powder can carry on the powder forging on the cooled layer to reduce the pull stress or even form the press stress, thus not easy to crack and the max dense coating thickness can be much bigger about 0.6mm than Nanosteel or Liquidmetal. The coating of thickness over 50um is normally no need sealing.
The super corrosion resistance of the coating from AMTmetalTech patent NanoN powder for Laser or PTA Plasma Cladding is similar as Hastelloy C276, In625 and Stellite. The abrasion resistance is very good for high hardness HRC40-60.
